Grants Manager

Social media icon (magenta)£30,000 Salary
(Based on 40 hours. 30-40 hours considered.)

We are seeking an experienced trusts / foundations fundraiser to take on the new role of Grants Manager.

The postholder will have a significant impact on the sustainability and resilience of YMCA Doncaster’s services for young people.

We are a small organisation of twenty paid staff and around ten volunteers. Together, we operate a 24/7 accommodation project for young people, a community building with recreational facilities, meeting rooms for hire and a charity shop. Our present work takes place on our site on Wood Street at the edge of Doncaster’s town centre.

Current turnover is around £550,000, with funding coming from a range of sources. We are part of the international YMCA movement but we’re an independent charity and are directly accountable to the housing and charity regulators. We’re governed by a board of local trustees who meet around eight times a year.

As Grants Manager, you will report directly to the Chief Executive and will be responsible for working delegated ideas into fundable project profiles, each with a clear and compelling case for support.

You will take on an assigned portfolio of trusts, foundations and similar, matching their interests with our planned projects.

Tender applications and the securing of loan finance are likely to feature from time to time.

The role requires a track record of success in securing five and six figure bids, and the ability to be self motivated and self-supporting.

You will have a keen focus on detail, significant experience in a relevant role and the ability to combine your expertise with an interest in the Vision and Values of YMCA Doncaster and the young people we work with and for.

If you meet our criteria and think we’d be a good fit, we’d love to receive an application from you.
