From its beginnings in January 1858, YMCA Doncaster has provided places and programmes for young men and women to make friends and belong, to make contributions by giving their time and talent to others, and to become strong, healthy adults who are ready to play a part in the life of the town.
We are proud to continue that legacy, to stand on the shoulders of those who have gone before us and to walk with young people in Doncaster as they face increasing complexities in finding a home, a career and a stable adult life.
As we enter our 160th year, we expect to have an increased need for our services as more young people find themselves vulnerable and in need of assistance.
With the support of local people, our work will have a transformative impact on young lives in Doncaster.
Over the next five years, we will increase the programmes we offer to young people, whilst also ensuring that YMCA Doncaster is sustainable in the long term.
Young people, their achievements, and their aspirations, will be at the heart of all that we do.
We are indebted to our friends and supporters, to our volunteers, to our Board of Governors and most particularly to the members of our staff team who live out the YMCA’s ethos and values every day of their working lives.
