Please apply as soon as you’re able to do so. We look at all Relief Duty Worker applications as we receive them.
We’re looking for Relief / Locum workers who are able to offer a range of working hours.
There are no set hours for this post – work is available when we need cover in our Supported Accommodation or Community Centre.
We’re able to consider a range of availability, although we do most frequently have need for people working night shifts, weekends and evenings.
Once you’re inducted to your Relief Duty Worker role, we’ll speak with you each month to find out your availability and then notify you of any hours we’re able to offer you.
The hourly rate of pay is £7.50, rising to £7.85 after satisfactory conclusion of the Probationary Period.
The role involves providing duty cover, almost always working alone, in either our Supported Accommodation or Community Centre. From time to time, you may also be involved in assisting with activities or other YMCA work.
Experience of work within a relevant setting would be an advantage, but we do welcome candidates from all sectors.
Employment is subject to DBS clearance and appropriate references.
