Join the YMCA Doncaster Reverse Advent Campaign This December!

This December, let’s come together as a community to spread joy and support those in need through the YMCA Doncaster Reverse Advent Campaign. We invite local families and businesses to participate in this heartwarming initiative.

What is the Reverse Advent Campaign? Instead of receiving a gift each day, participants will donate an item to help young people living in YMCA accommodation. It’s a wonderful way to give back and make a real difference during the festive season.

How Can You Get Involved?

  1. Collect Items: Each day in December, add a non-perishable food item, toiletries, or a small gift to a box.
  2. Donate: Bring your filled box to YMCA Doncaster by December 24th.
  3. Spread the Word: Encourage friends, family, and colleagues to join in and share the joy of giving.

Why Participate?

  • Support Your Community: Your donations will directly benefit local young people.
  • Teach Generosity: It’s a great way to teach children the importance of giving and empathy.
  • Build Connections: Strengthen community bonds by working together for a common cause.

Let’s make this December a month of generosity and kindness.

Drop Offs and Pictures

Our accommodation office (back entrance / left hand doors) is always open, and staff there will be happy to take your donation and grab a quick snap of you and your group to use on our social media.

We will also have a special ‘festive friend’ on duty to take donations and have a picture with you on Monday 23rd December, 12 noon to 4pm.

Thank you to Henry and Laura for showing us how it’s done. Their picture above is from 2019, which was the last time we ran a Reverse Advent campaign.
