I find the most rewarding parts of my job role are seeing clients have breakthrough moments, achieving their goals and succeeding.
James has worked for YMCA Doncaster in the role of Keyworker / Coach since November 2019.
Born in Cyprus, James was an RAF baby and moved back to the UK when he was three. He currently lives with his dog, who is a three year old German Shepherd named North.
The first job role James had was as a Gymnastics Coach, which he states taught him the ability to build confidence in himself and others.
Prior to working at YMCA Doncaster, James had a career in the care sector, but took a break to work in a call centre. When he saw the role of Keyworker / Coach he thought that it was ‘the perfect balance of care, support and administration’ he had been looking for.
When asked what he finds most rewarding about his role, James stated;
“I find the most rewarding parts of my job role are seeing clients have breakthrough moments, achieving their goals and succeeding.”
James shared the unknown fact that he was involved in the Birmingham Arts Festival for two years running, for which he wore a 12 foot feather boa creation in different shapes during the parade to advertise local businesses.
In his spare time James can be found drinking coffee, watching YouTube tutorials on makeup artistry and walking his dog.
