Why should you run for YMCA Doncaster?

By joining #TeamYMCADoncaster, you can help us to provide crucial services for the children and young people of Doncaster, to help them discover who they are and what they can become.

We’ll provide you with…

  • A digital fundraising pack, to help you achieve your target.
  • Individual support from our Fundraising and Development Officer, from when you sign up to the finish line.
  • A free, YMCA Doncaster running vest to wear on the day.
  • Regular communications, to keep you up-to-date.

What is the cost?

If you are successful in joining #TeamYMCADoncaster, you will be required to pay a £100 non-refundable registration fee, and commit to fundraise at least £2,000, excluding the registration fee and Gift Aid.

Ballot Place

The 2026 TCS London Marathon ballot went live Friday 25 April – Friday 2 May 2025. If you’re lucky enough to secure a place through the ballot, we’d love for you to run as part of #TeamYMCADoncaster.

You will receive the same support as our charity place runners but there is no fundraising target, we just ask that you raise as much as you can!

To join #TeamYMCADoncaster with your ballot place, please contact our Fundraising and Development Officer, Lily-Mae: lily-mae@ymcadoncaster.org.uk

Charity Place

As we have a limited number of charity places for the 2026 TCS London Marathon, we ask everyone to complete an application form. We will then assess the applications and contact each applicant directly to notify them of our decision.

Charity places will be allocated on a rolling basis, and are dependant on your application. We will also run a waiting list in case anyone drops out before the registration deadline.

If you have any questions, please contact our Fundraising and Development Officer, Lily-Mae.
