I admired the work the YMCA do in helping young people in Doncaster that need accommodation and a little extra support.
Andy Thomas has been a Trustee of YMCA Doncaster since September 2024.
Born and raised in Neath, in the South Wales valleys, Andy was educated at a local comprehensive school before going on to study Economics at Warwick University.
After graduating, he trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG before setting up his own consultancy business. His work mainly focused on the health and charity sectors, particularly supporting organisations with recovery plans and change management. Now retired from full-time employment, he continues to share his professional experience through his role as Trustee.
When asked why he wanted to be involved with YMCA Doncaster, he said: “I admired the work the YMCA do in helping young people in Doncaster that need accommodation and a little extra support.”
Outside of his trustee role, Andy enjoys cycling, travelling, and gardening.
